Totality showing the extent of the Solar Corona. The star Regulus is visible just to the left of the Sun and two dimmer stars, 31 Leo below Regulus near the edge of the field and Nu Leo to the right of the Sun. Some subtle lunar features from earthshine are also visible. This is an HDR composite of 22 exposures merged with Photomatix Pro & Photoshop. A stacked version of 10 images capturing the prominences was merged with the HDR composite in Photoshop.
