Image Description
Mars on the Mornings of June 15, 16 & 17. South is up in these images which show the progression of a dust storm in the Aurorae Sinus, Pyrrhae Regio, and Mare Erythraem regions (just above center in the June 15 image). The storm starts just on the eastern edge of Valles Marineris and runs eastward into Mare Erythraem. The prevailing winds also appear to be blowing the dust first southward and then eastward in the later images.
