Women's Observatory Training NO GO this Saturday

Rene Gedaly, Observatory Trainer

As of this moment, we have a window of good weather that spans Tuesday, Wed, and Thurs. If the front moves toward the weekend, we could have good enough weather to hold the Women's Observatory Training class at the Dark Site this Saturday. I will make the Go/No Go call no later than noon Friday.

Here's how this works:

√    You are an interested female observer who's been an HAS member for at least six months, are current on your 2019 dues, and have taken the 2019 online orientation...or can get these requirements completed in the next few days. All class prerequisites are located here:  https://www.astronomyhouston.org/content/observatory-training-class-prerequisites. Online orientation is located here (log in to the website first or you won't see it):  https://www.astronomyhouston.org/about/has-observatory

√    I will watch the weather pattern and make the Go/NoGo call by noon Friday Mar 15 stating that class Will/Will Not be held this Saturday. The announcement will be made on the website, on AstroList, and on the Facebook Group.

√    If class is a Go, email your RSVP to Observatory Director Christopher Ober at chriso@astronomyhouston.org (not me). Chris will check your credentials and add the first six qualified women to the class. He will also send you class meeting times and other particulars.

If this Saturday is a washout, we will try again Mar 23 and yet again Apr 13. But make sure you renew by Mar 31st. If you don't, you will need to rejoin as a new member and the clock for 6 months membership will start over. Membership has its privileges!

Clear enough skies!
